Koite Health joins the Move-A-Thon in April to raise awareness of head and neck cancer
Koite Health is participating in the Move-A-Thon exercise campaign in April, which aims to raise awareness of head and neck cancer. The campaign is organised by the Head & Neck Cancer Alliance, a US-based organisation that focuses on prevention, early detection and patient support for these cancers.
Koite Health is committed to spreading the campaign’s message and collaborating with like-minded organisations around the world.
Why is the campaign important?
Head and neck cancer is a serious health threat, but early detection can significantly improve survival rates. Statistics show that if these cancers are diagnosed early, survival rates can be as high as 80%. Move-A-Thon helps raise awareness and funds for research and patient support services.
Move-A-Thon is an event where participants get moving in different ways, such as walking, running or cycling, to raise money for charity. The event combines physical activity and community spirit to work together for an important cause.
How can you take part?
Taking part in the campaign is easy and provides an opportunity to promote a cause through physical activity. Here’s how to take part:
Register on the Move-A-Thon campaign website.
Join the Koite Health team and participate in a joint challenge.
Register your physical activity on the campaign website under the ‘Activity’ tab.
Mark the activity, the time spent and, if you wish, comment on your performance.
You can also share a picture of your physical activity.
What counts as physical activity?
All physical activity counts! So, for example, you can participate in the following ways:
Playing outside with your children
Walking your dog
Running or hitting the gym
Cycling or walking to work instead of driving.
Every step counts, and April is a great time to combine exercise and charity!
Koite Health encourages everyone to get involved in the campaign to support an important cause and spread awareness about head and neck cancer.
