For successful teeth whitening, a thorough cleaning of the teeth is recommended. The microscopic invisible dental plaque reduces the ability of the whitening substance to interact with teeth, thus causing a reduced whitening effect at the site of the dental plaque. Dental plaque can also be present at sites invisible to the naked eye.

Even clean teeth have dental plaque on them. This can affect the outcome of teeth whitening

Even clean teeth have dental plaque on them. This can affect the outcome of teeth whitening.

In the image on the left above, perfectly clean white teeth are shown in natural light at the image on the left. The image on the right shows, however, the same teeth after rinsing the mouth with the KOITE® enhancer. Under the KOITE® plaque detection light, we can see the microscopic dental plaque. These plaque sites are often formed in small grooves on the tooth surface where the mechanical removal of the plaque by brushing and flossing is difficult.

For the best possible whitening outcome, we recommend using KOITE® antibacterial method, followed by a teeth whitening. KOITE® has developed a teeth whitening kit to provide an easy method of achieving good oral health and a brilliant smile!
